tragedy

The flames from the candles dance and flicker.
The clouds in the sky grow bigger and thicker.
It was great for awhile
nothing good ever lasts;
the damage is done,
but how does this help anyone
I learned what it means to love thy neighbor.
I saw people crawling out of the depths of despair,
Into the arms of strangers of compassion and care.
I watch the moon
It is my only friend
It understands and listens
Though it never talks to me
It helps me throughout my life
It is my last light
My last light of hope, dream, and my one love
And that shall never die out
A wolf can't blow this down,
a knight can't break it in,
I sealed it shut so not
a creak of sun or sound can be fed-
just distant distortion
of a world unseized...
further beholds a big tragedy of sin..
for which there is no remedy.
